Last night, I was introduced to Snowball

2 May

Have you met, seen, heard of Snowball? I was introduced just last night. Snowball is an adolescent rescue bird that takes center stage in the Dancing Bird World. Snowball actually dances, does routines and special moves, and even syncopates. Why would I be surprised then to discover he knows when his favorite songs are coming to a close and shifts his dancing, in time. Then, he bows at the end.

I find him a delight to watch, and I’d like to introduce you to him. Here he is rockin’ to The Backstreet Boys’ song, Everybody.

Update: Snowball and his dancing are highlighted in this week’s edition of The Economist.

Hi everyone! It’s just me, Snowball, dropping in to say hello and thanks for all the compliments on my dancing…and Happy Mother’s Day to all the bird moms!

Part of my mother’s day gift was a donation to your org, in recognition of the joy Snowball has brought her.

      Dear ‘vectorjess’,
Thank you so very much for your generosity and thoughtfulness in donating to Bird Lovers Only Rescue. If only Snowball could know just how much his fame has helped the other birds here. We have focused more on helping special needs (disabled, abused, neglected) birds who have higher vet costs and require a longer stay here for rehabilitation. If it weren’t for donations such as yours that were received on behalf of Snowball, we would have a very difficult time staying afloat. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping God’s beautiful creatures.
      Warmly,
Irena Schulz – Bird Lovers Only Rescue Service, Inc.
