As a parent of a Homeland generation child, I love hearing your perspective on this. I myself need paper for some things, such as writing lists and organizing my tasks. The physical process of writing re-inforces what is in my brain so much better than typing.

One of the things I personally fear for my daughter is the suppression of creativity that I know she’ll naturally be subject to as she grows up and I’ve committed myself to making art and free expression a part of her life at home, if nowhere else. I hadn’t previously thought of cursive as being part of this, but it’s true.
