Choose Insanity.

Choose Insanity in Howard County. Yes, this is the bumper sticker I just saw on a coworker’s desk. Charming. Photo submissions welcome. I work with the originator of the bumper stickers.

What else do we have?
Embrace Hostility.
Choose Senility.
Others?

  • I love it! I saw a “Choose Hostility” one, but I like the “Choose Insanity” much better!

  • As someone who was part of the initial “Choose Civility” wave in Howard County some three years go, and as someone who has gotten off the wave to watch from the shore; what I notice is I could never really articulate why I think this campaign is important. That changed when I read this post.

The importance of the Choose Civility program, in my opinion, is the emphasis on “choose”, rather than civility. As human beings we are blessed with a capacity of choice…as we grow, develop and evolve we gain a capacity to choose our behaviors, our beliefs, our lifestyles and even our nature. Our instinctual and/or unconsciousness nature recedes the more we exercise our capacity to choose.

So Choose Civility, or Choose Hostility, or Choose Insanity or Choose Anarchy. Now, particularly with creation of these additional bumper stickers, they are all available.

It’s the ability to choose that makes the difference: not the word behind it.

  • Ho. Just saw “Choose Cycling” today. With the green magnet and all that …
